LearnP1 - Computer Program for
Individual Learning Improvement.
|
|
This program
was designed by a Victorian Primary School teacher to meet the requirements of
the Victorian Department of Education and Training with regard to individualised
learning improvement plans. It has an
easy to use and understand graphical user interface. Each student's record is
stored on its own file meaning that records can easily be moved or copied to
another location. The program
enables the teacher to keep plans for students at three different levels -
Lower, Middle and Upper.
The
program allows for individual students to have up to 9 plans at each level. Categories covered are English, Maths, Disability and Impairment, Behaviour and Extension each with the Upper, Middle and Lower levels. |

Selection of
plan comments is made with check boxes. When a comment is selected it is
transferred to a notepad window where it can be edited if desired. Additional
comments can be added to the checkbox comment list "on the fly". So,
if the teacher finds him/herself manually adding or editing the same comments in
the notepad window then he/she can make the change a permanent check box thus
requiring only a mouse click to add it to the notepad list from that point on. |

| The printout
can be of any one or all of the categories and includes the school name and
address details as well as the school logo. |

The
checkbox comments are kept in a separate file for each level and category (15
files in all). The checkbox comments can be kept on the local PC
or via a different path such as to a server. This enables consistent and
shared comments across the school. Students' plan files can also be kept on the
local PC or a server. The
licence for the program is granted for whole schools and the program can
be loaded onto any PC or laptop enabling teachers to work away from the school.
The price is most reasonable for a program with these features. Enquires
about the program can be made via dent@giant.net.au
or PO Box 237BH, Brown Hill, Vic3350. Link to mp3's Bach Suite played by LJD
