How long does a
Lay Led Liturgy take?
If you rushed you could get it all done in 20 minutes. But it is not a matter of getting it done. It is a time for listening; it is a time for sharing; it is a time for prayer. All of that needs time: a graceful flow, with plenty of time for silent prayer.
The whole Liturgy becomes an experience of the sacred, an experience of mystery, and experience of the presence of Jesus amongst us, helping us to discover the way to respond to his gospel and giving us the strength to continue our Christian journey.
Perhaps 45 minutes is a reasonable time for a Sunday Lay Led Liturgy.
