Lay Led Liturgy
A Catholic Website written and presented by Kevin J. Murphy
Catholic priest in the Ballarat Diocese, Australia
This website offers articles and suggestions mainly to support those
who have some responsibility for Sunday Liturgy in the absence of a priest, especially
in small church communities in rural areas.
The website is simple in its presentation and contains suggestions for
the next Sunday’s Liturgy. In addition, as indicated in the Index of
Articles below, there are many short articles on various aspects of liturgy and
church life. These articles have first been circulated in a monthly bulletin,
NACP, “Notes for Active Church Participants”.
There is no copyright on material in the website. Be free to copy, not
only for personal use but also, if desired, for use at meetings and educational
sessions, changing and adapting the material, if necessary, according to the
circumstances.
It would be good if the leadership team in a small church community
made it a regular habit to come together to look at the realities of life, to
consider these realities in the light of the Word of God, and to develop a
response. part of the response would be reflected in
the Sunday Liturgy.
On occasion, a leadership team might choose to use an
articles from this website as a source of information and learning,
questions and discussion.
